Baking cookies

We made some cookies yesterday and after one tantrum we were able to finish happily. Matthew spent most of the time playing in the sugar bowl. Notice the jacket? I tried to take it off him and he screamed bloody murder. He ended up wearing it the entire day, crazy kid.

More Gardening

We put the garden in last weekend. I was pulling weeds with some gardening gloves on and Matthew decided he needed gloves too, so these are his winter gloves.

I don't know why his tongue is sticking out, but he's sure cute!

I'm helping, right daddy?!

We have strawberries going from last year. Brian built another box for raspberries. Then we also planted tomatoes, red peppers, zucchini, green onions, rosemary, basil and oregano.
Keep your fingers crossed that Matthew won't dig everything up! We did get him a sandbox (thanks Becki and Nate!) so I'm hoping he'll keep his digging in there.

Play dough

I bought some play dough at the dollar store (yay dollar store!). I think Matthew played with it for an hour straight. He really did have fun even though he's concentrating so hard in most of the pictures. :)

Planting temple flowers

The primary (and helpers) planted flowers at the temple tonight. Matthew loves playing in the dirt so he was content, but the gloves didn't quite fit.

Jason's Grad Party

Jason graduated from UNC and had a barbecue to celebrate. Brian had the idea to have a root beer keg. After much more effort then anticipated, Jason was able to hunt one down. He was pretty excited about it!Here are Matthew and Jonathon doing what they do best, pushing trucks. Can you tell which one is older? :)

The Living Planet Aquarium

While we were in Utah we went to the aquarium with Abby and Marinda. It was great to see them and see the two little ones running around. Unfortunately they didn't play together very much which is normal for kids their age. It's nice that Matthew is finally old enough to be interested in outings like this. The last time we went to the zoo he was more interested in the people walking around than the animals.

The Swing

Grandpa sure knows how to make little boys happy. He bought this swing for the swing set in their yard for Matthew. I swear the kid spent hours in it.

Wheels

I can't believe how much Matthew loves anything with wheels. He is such a boy! Boys and girls are really programmed differently. He had lots of fun at Grandma and Grandpa's house. He is so funny with the pink stroller!

Wedding day

Jed and BreAnn's wedding went really well. Matthew got to be ring bearer and as always he was super cute. I didn't take very many pictures because Brian took a lot. He has them posted on his page, www.brianrharris.com.

It was nice because it didn't rain and there was plenty of food so Jed was happy! I'm glad we were able to make it out and that everyone had a nice time.

Congrats to the happy couple!

Welcome May!

It's the first day of May and we are getting dumped with snow.
The weather here has taught me a couple of things. I love our
Subaru! Don't put things off. If the weather is nice and you want
to go to the park, don't wait till tomorrow, it might be covered in
snow. So a challenge to you-do one thing you have been putting off. Clean out that drawer, get a new haircut, take the kids out on an adventure!

Random pics

There were some fire trucks down the street (our neighbor had a fire :( ) Matthew and Brian went for a walk to the mailbox and one of the firefighters gave Matthew some badges.

We got free head bands when we went to the Nuggets/Lakers game. Isn't he cute!?
